NanoX Summer School on Computational Modeling and Nano Sciences

par Nord & Ile de France - 26 février 2020

The NanoX Graduate School of Research of Toulouse is organizing a multidisciplinary summer school on nano-sciences ranging from atoms and molecules to nano-materials and nano-systems.

From 15th June to 9th July 2020, PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, young researchers and assistant-professors can choose to attend one or several intensive courses among 5 which are proposed in 2020.

Among them, one week (22th to 26th June 2020) is fully devoted to computational modeling. This week will focus on state-of-the-art quantum chemical methods with the view to demonstrate their applicability to tackle various chemical questions. These include Green-function-based methods, reactivity in the ground and excited states as well as advanced tools for molecular dynamics. Combining theoretical and practical courses, the target will be to assimilate the theoretical basis of these methods and their range of application, going from material for energy storage and molecular switches to catalysis and spectroscopy, to learn how they can be applied to anyone’s research project.

You’ll find in attachement the flyer, and more information on our website : http://nanoX2020.sciencesconf.org.

We will be strongly thankful if you could forward these informations to any student or colleague who might be interested.

Best regards,

Jérôme Cuny and Iker del Rosal, for the organizing committee.
